This waterside haven is literally perfect for a long brunch on a sunny day. Situated in the Embarcadero and just slightly upwind from the Ferry building, with views from Fishermans Wharf to the Bay, it is the best way to carry out your San Fran “Sunday Sit In”.
We met up with some friends from London that have relocated to SF, and this was their suggestion… Good. Call. We would have never necessarily stumbled upon this place and the area is literally packed with restaurants and so this was a great find that is popular with people who actually know where they are going.
The best thing about this place, is that everything and i mean everything is sourced from…well, the source. They pride themselves on serving food from the local farms and farmers markets and from sustainable seafood sources.
We had the Pacific Northwest Eggs Benedict with wild smoked salmon and herbed crème fraîche on an english muffin. We also had the dreamy Huevos Rancheros (with a choice of two eggs any style or basil pesto tofu), refried white beans, white cheddar, pico de gallo, avocado, crema, crispy corn tortillas – Not normal how good this was. Should you not be game for Ouefs, then try the Korean Style BBQ Chicken with BBQ sauce, daikon & carrot pickle, jalapeño, cilantro and aioli. Yes. We had it all.
The restaurant has an indoors for people who hate daylight, and for everyone else who relishes the chance to sit outside, a great deck area to watch both the bay and also the sunphobics inside. For those of you who are ultra-green, they are even partially powered by rooftop solar power!
Even their organic, harm free/pesticide free/offence free prosecco was surprisingly not taste-free and so just to make sure, we tried a few different ones… for scientific research purposes of course.
