The Man Behind Some of London’s Most Famous Restaurants Is Opening His “Last Legacy” Project

Arjun Waney – the restaurateur behind some of London’s most recognisable hospitality names, including Zuma, COYA, La Petite Maison and The Arts Club – is opening his first Italian restaurant, Osteria Panzano, in Knightsbridge.

The 100-cover Tuscan restaurant is a far more personal project than another polished Mayfair-adjacent opening. Waney has described it as his “last legacy” project, inspired by his own home in Tuscany and the food, wine and rhythms of life there. The menu will lean heavily into that connection, with ingredients and touches drawn directly from his own world, including olive oil and Sangiovese from his estate.

It also marks a slightly different chapter for a restaurateur whose name has been attached to some of the biggest international dining brands of the past two decades. Rather than another large-scale global concept, this feels deliberately intimate, nostalgic and personal.

So yes, technically London is getting another Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge. But this one comes with a rather better backstory.
